Krista Bard's Top Ten Books to Expand Your Thinking
The nicest insult someone ever gave me was “Krista, you read too much.” Not possible. No one can ever read too much.
Stuck in a rut? Pick up a book. Need to laugh? Read. Hungry for information? It’s been written. The answers you seek are all out there to be found. The roadmap to the universe, to questions no one has even asked yet, is already there.
Reading touches the soul, heals the heart, raises consciousness. It is the first door that anyone can access to their own growth as a human being. What is your potential? You will never know unless you open your mind to new ideas.
So my first blog is a thank you to the people who gave me books that started to open my mind. Marija Saulaitis, Sesele Terese, Sesele Onute. These are brilliant wonderful teachers, and I am enormously grateful to them. They introduced me to the likes of Carl Jung and Martin Buber, comparative religion and metaphysics. I was so excited --- Christopher Columbus finding the New World couldn’t have felt better.
I invite you to acknowledge the people who helped you explore new territory and find your own new worlds . If not here in a response to this blog, then send them a thank you note.
I invite you too to read the books below. Send our blog names of books that expanded your mind. If we are hitchhikers in the galaxy, then these lists are like shortcuts. Why not make it easier for each other? In that spirit, you can click on a book in the box to the right and go right to Amazon.com and order it now.
